TECIMAN sponsors the 2020 San Lesmes Cross Country Race. Our commitment to sport reflects the principles that govern our activity, which are in total harmony with the intrinsic values of athletics: enthusiasm, effort, sacrifice and a spirit of improvement.
The San Lesmes Cross is a race full of history and the oldest in the city of Burgos. It will be held on February 9th in its 42nd edition, with a spectacular route through the streets of Burgos. The motto of the race could not be other than Who said cold?
This commitment gives us the opportunity to continue promoting sport and supporting the Burgos Hemophilia Association (Hemobur) beneficiary of the race that organizes Abave Veteran Athletes Burgos.
The distance to be covered in the absolute race will be 7.8 kilometres. A little shorter than in previous years, when 10 km were run. The course must be completed in a maximum time of 1 hour. The minor races (from benjamin to cadet) will take place on a circuit around the Paseo del Espolón. Participation is open to all athletes and/or fans who wish to participate, without age limit.
The route starts in the centre of Burgos, on the Paseo del Espolón, and follows a figure eight through the most emblematic streets of the city of Burgos. Participation in this race has increased over the years, making it a benchmark for athletes in the city.
Occasionally, the event has had to be cancelled on the scheduled day and postponed to a nearby day due to bad weather, as the existence of ice on public roads makes it dangerous and inadvisable to practice sports outside. We hope that there will be no incidents of this type this year.
