Teciman moves to Italy for a job of Reverse Engineering of a large component of a wind turbine.

The company needs to manufacture a part from which No original plans available, only basic data and some images.

The technical team of Téciman moves to the end customer's facilities in Milan to carry out the full scan of the actual piece. It is a component measuring 2.5 m in diameter and weighing around 700 kilos, so the work is carried out on site to avoid any logistical problems.

Behind him 3D scanning From our metrologists, we obtain a point cloud which turns into a .stl. The design team converts this file into 3D solid Using specific software, obtaining the .stpThe client thus obtains the real digitalized piece to carry out all kinds of modifications, measurements, etc.

Finally, from the 3D file we make the 2D plans (.dwg format) so that our clients have all the information necessary to manufacture the part.

This case shows the feasibility of Téciman by having portable devices and having the ability to move, both nationally and internationally. As well as the combined work of the metrology equipment and of design.

We add this project to the wide range of reverse engineering work carried out in different sectors: automotive, energy, industrial…For more information about our capabilities and experiences Contact us through the Web either in it phone 947209141.
