{"id":5854,"date":"2024-10-24T12:13:57","date_gmt":"2024-10-24T10:13:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.teciman.com\/?p=5854"},"modified":"2024-11-06T12:09:05","modified_gmt":"2024-11-06T11:09:05","slug":"plastic-parts-research-improvement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.teciman.com\/metrologia\/en\/news\/plastic-parts-research-improvement\/","title":{"rendered":"We collaborate in the improvement and research of plastic parts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrologiateciman.com\/metrologia-3d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Teciman<\/a>\u00a0collaborates in the\u00a0<strong>improvement and research of plastic parts<\/strong>\u00a0for a company specialising in renewable energy sector structures.<\/p>\n<p>The client decides to replace some metal parts with others made of a specific polymer that he has designed and manufactured, with the aim of improving the performance of the entire system.<\/p>\n<h3>3D measurement of plastic parts<\/h3>\n<p>Our metrologists carry out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrologiateciman.com\/metrologia-3d\/servicios-metrologia\/medicion3d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>3D measurement<\/strong><\/a> of the first prototypes of plastic parts in our <strong>Metrology Laboratory<\/strong>\u00a0to check that the parts are correctly manufactured. We use the Coord3 Universal machine, with electronics and sensors\u00a0<em>Renishaw<\/em>\u00a0and software\u00a0<em>TouchDMIS<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the measurement results obtained, the client redesigned the plastic parts and made the relevant modifications to the mould to avoid any deformation, as shown in the report.<\/p>\n<h3>Fracture and fatigue tests of plastic parts<\/h3>\n<p>We also carry out<strong>\u00a0Static behaviour and fatigue tests<\/strong>\u00a0of the piece together with the Structural Integrity Laboratory of the University of Burgos.
